The closing report conference of the two projects listed below, which are being successfully implemented in Mongolia's railway sector and funded by the Republic of Korea, was held in Ulaanbaatar under the theme "Strategies for sustainable railway development in Mongolia".
The seminar jointly hosted by two projects: "Establishment of the Mongolian Railway Development Strategy in Connection with the Foundation of the East Asian Railway Community (EARC)" and “PMC Service for the Project to Strengthen Railway Transportation Competitiveness of Mongolia through the Establishment and Operational Capability Enhancement of the Railway Traffic Control Center (RTCC) in Mongolia”.
The main objective of this joint seminar is for the experts, academicians, and policymakers involved in the aforementioned projects to share their work results and presentations on specific legal and financial issues required for the development of strategies for the development of Mongolian railways, as well as the master plan for the integrated railway safety control system and information exchange.
The seminar was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Road and Transport Development, the Ministry of Economic Development, Railway Traffic Control Center, the National Geological Service, "Mongolian Railway" SOSC, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and the Korean International Cooperation Agency. More than 40 engineers, experts, and scientists from the agency, the Korea Transport Institute, the International Contractors Association, and the Korea Institute of Geographical Sciences and Mining took part.
